TAZ- Tar Zipped Archive

What is .TAZ Format and How can we Open into the desktop?

The .TAZ extension is used by the TAR archiving utility in Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. It is also known as a Tar Compressed Archive File and is used for compressing multiple files into one file for easier downloading, sharing, or storage. It is similar to other archive formats such as ZIP, RAR, and 7Z, but the TAZ format is not as commonly used.

To open a .TAZ file on a desktop computer, the user needs to first install an archiving program such as 7-Zip, WinRAR, or WinZip. Once the program is installed, the user can open the .TAZ file like they would any other archive. The user can then extract the files contained in the archive to their desired location. Some programs, such as 7-Zip, also allow the user to open the archive and view the files contained within without extracting them.
