What is .PRT File Format and How to Open it?

A .PRT file is a Pro/ENGINEER Part file, a 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) model created by Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire and Pro/ENGINEER Creo Elements/Pro, a 3D CAD software suite used for product design and engineering. It contains a 3D model, which may include a variety of components, such as surfaces, lines, curves, points, and other objects. PRT files can be opened and edited with Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire or Pro/ENGINEER Creo Elements/Pro. They can also be viewed with other CAD programs, such as Autodesk Inventor and SolidWorks, as well as the free 3D viewing program eDrawings.
