ODP – Open Document Presentation

What is ODP File?

The .odp file extension is used to save presentation files created using the Open Document Presentation application, part of the OpenOffice suite. OpenOffice is an open-source software suite that includes a word processor, spreadsheet program, presentation application, and more.

An .odp file contains a presentation, which includes text, images, and formatting. It may also include audio and video clips, animation, and other elements. The .odp file format is based on the open XML standard, which makes it easy to share files with other applications.

How to Open ODP Files?

You can open an .odp file with OpenOffice, which is available as a free download for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers. You can also open an .odp file with the Apache OpenOffice software suite, as well as with the LibreOffice software suite. Both are free, open-source programs.

You can also open an .odp file with Microsoft PowerPoint, but some elements of the file may not be compatible. Additionally, you can use the Google Drive app to open .odp files on Android, iOS, and Chrome OS devices.

To open an .odp file on your computer, simply double-click the file and it should open in the associated program. If it does not open automatically, you can open it by selecting the appropriate program from the list of installed applications on your computer.
