Introduction

TSV means Tab Separated Values which are created and used by many spreadsheet applications. TSV files are alternate to CSV files but the data of TSV file is separated by tabs instead of commas. TSV files are text files and the raw data can be viewed by text editors. Tab Separated Values include text, mathematical, or statistical data separated into rows and columns. Can’t open a .tsv file?

If you want to open a .tsv file but unable to open it. You may receive the error message –

Windows can’t open this file:

File: example.tsv

In this case, to open this file you can go online to look for the apps to open these files or you can manually select a program from the list of programs installed on your system.
