SLDPRT- SolidWorks Part File

What is .SLDPRT File Format and How to Open it?

SLDPRT (Solid Part) is a 3D CAD file format created by Dassault Systemes’ SolidWorks software. It contains 3D geometry and other data used for 3D modeling, such as surface and wireframe models, materials, lighting, and camera information. SLDPRT files also contain meta information, such as the author of the file, the version of the software used to create it, and the date it was last modified.

SLDPRT files are used for 3D printing, product design, engineering simulations, and reverse engineering. They can be opened with SolidWorks, SolidView, and DraftSight. The free SolidWorks eDrawings Viewer can also be used to view SLDPRT files.

SLDPRT files can also be opened with Autodesk Fusion 360, a cloud-based CAD/CAM solution. In addition, many online services such as CAD Schroer, eDrawings, and MakePrintable can be used to open and view SLDPRT files.

SLDPRT files can be converted to other 3D file formats, such as STL and OBJ, using a variety of different programs. These programs include Meshmixer, MeshLab
