PXV – Pixela Video File

What is .PXV File Format?

PXV is a proprietary file format used by the Pinnacle Studio video editing software. It is used to save project files created with the application. PXV project files contain a variety of data including video assets, audio tracks, transitions, effects, titles, and other project related information.

If you have a PXV file, you will need the Pinnacle Studio application in order to open it. Pinnacle Studio is available for both Windows and Mac computers and can be purchased from the Pinnacle website. Once you have the application installed, you can open the PXV file by double-clicking on it or by launching the program and then navigating to the file in the open dialog.

The PXV file format is not compatible with other video editing applications. If you need to convert your PXV project to a different file format, you can do so by exporting it from Pinnacle Studio. To do this, select the “Export” option from the File menu and choose the desired format.

If you don’t have access to Pinnacle Studio, you can still view the contents of the PXV file by using a text editor such as Notepad or TextEdit. This will allow you to view the project data, but you won’t be able to make any changes or edits to the file.

In summary, a PXV file is the proprietary project file format used by Pinnacle Studio. It contains a variety of data related to the video project and can only be opened with the Pinnacle Studio application. If you need to convert the file to a different format, you can do so by exporting it from Pinnacle Studio. If you don’t have access to the software, you can still view the contents of the file in a text editor.
