IPT- Inventor Part File

What is .IPT File Format and How to Open it?

An IPT file is a 3D part file created by Autodesk Inventor, a 3D CAD mechanical design and modeling program. It contains 3D part information, including the geometry, size, shape, and layout of a 3D part, as well as the surface and solid body properties that are associated with the part. IPT files are used for creating 3D parts for mechanical designs, such as parts for a car, motorcycle, or aircraft.

IPT files can be opened with Autodesk Inventor, which is available as part of the Autodesk product suite, or with Autodesk Inventor View, a free viewer for IPT and other Autodesk files. Autodesk Inventor lets users view, measure, analyze, and animate 3D models. It also allows users to create 2D drawings from 3D parts, as well as create and simulate assemblies.

IPT files can be exported to other CAD formats, such as .DWG, .STL, and .IGES, using Autodesk Inventor. The program also supports saving IPT files to the Autodesk Inventor Part Exchange (IPX) format, which can be used to share IPT files online.
