What is .CBZ File Format and How do Open it?
A .cbz file is a compressed archive format used for comic books, also known as a Comic Book Zip file. It is a renamed version of a .zip file, which contains a collection of JPEG or PNG image files representing the pages of a comic book. It is similar to a .cbr file, which uses the RAR archive format instead. .cbz files are used to make downloading and transferring comic books easier and faster.
To open a .cbz file, you will need a program that can open zip archives, such as WinZip, 7-Zip, WinRAR, or Stuffit Expander. Once you have installed the software, right-click on the .cbz file and select the “Extract Here” option to unzip the archive. The images can then be viewed in any image viewer, such as the Windows Photo Viewer, or in a comic book reader program such as CDisplay, ComicRack, or Calibre.
