3DM- Rhino 3D Model

What is .3DM File Format and How to Open it?

A .3DM file is a 3D model file format used by Rhinoceros 3D, a powerful 3D modeling application. Rhinoceros 3D is used to create, edit, and render 3D models for use in a variety of industries, such as architecture, engineering, manufacturing, film, and video game design. The .3DM file format stores 3D models created in the software, including surfaces, curves, meshes, annotation, and textures.

The .3DM file format is not supported by any other 3D modeling software and must be converted to a different format to be used with other 3D applications. To open and view a .3DM file, you must use Rhinoceros 3D or a compatible model viewer, such as Flux Studio. Flux Studio is a free 3D model viewer that supports the .3DM file format. Some 3D printing services also accept .3DM files for 3D printing.

The .3DM file format is also used by some other software programs, such as SketchUp, to store 3D models. These programs typically require the .3DM file to be converted to a different format, such as .SKP, before the 3D model can be opened and viewed.
